Alfredo was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He discovered photography at the University of Michigan and studied it at
Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. His personality has always led him to look and to listen; he’s a natural observer and this quality has served him well as a photographer. Alfredo always thought he would be a photojournalist traveling the world, recording humankind’s failures and successes. That was until he met his wife. They eventually settled here in Atlanta to be close to friends and family and enjoy the city life. He came to shooting weddings when his best friend asked him to be the best man…and photographer. That experience (having to
run to the altar to hand over the rings and run back to take the pictures) brought back the thrill of photojournalism. Having to focus, fast; to concentrate on the subject, anticipate its moves, hit the shutter, breathe, find another angle and do it all over again was the reason he got into photography in the first place.
Alfredo is currently looking for couples that want to try something different from someone whose creativity and imagination have not been hindered by the trappings of routine. He doesn’t regard shooting weddings as a job but as an adventure in social traditions, something fun and exciting to do in the weekends. He is also very charming, amiable, and punctual.
